    Description

1949 Ford owner time line facts, vin # 98BA153228
    ...........................................................................
This 1949 Ford was purchased from De Pere Auto in De Pere WI., a classic car dealer in 2015. De Pere obtained the car from owners in Michigan who had the car approximately 5-6 years. These owners purchased this 49 Ford from Randy Hallman Classic cars in Iron Mountain Michigan in 2009. The car was obtained by Hallman thru a classic car broker from Arizona. This broker acquired the car from Wayne Yoder of Aurora, Oregon (have copy of title).
A past officer in the Early V-8 Club of America named Sam Parker of Oregon, sold the car to Wayne Yoder in 1981. Sam Parker had bought the car from Ron Thorne of Salt Lake, Utah, a well-known early Ford V-8 car collector.

    ).
The car is an original low mileage car and was damaged at one time on the front passenger side. It sat for a very long period of time before it was repaired by Stan Dietz, a renowned body repairman of Shoebox Fords, it is believed sometime back in the late 50’s. The passenger door and front fender were replaced with rust free salvage yard parts from California, where Stan Dietz lived. The cars original color was changed from Sea mist green to a 1950 Ford color called Bimini blue, then was presumably sold to Ron Thorne. The car was built at the Long Beach, Ca. factory and was said to have been in Washington state as well. The car is an early 49 build and has a 1948 Ford heater. Told to me by Sam Parker, the 49 Ford designed heaters weren’t available when the 49’s were built and released on the west coast so the dealers installed over-the-counter 1948 Ford heaters. The engine color is dark blue not bronze, confirming an early build car.
The car was repainted Fez red, a 1949 Ford original color in 2016. The Flathead motor has been completely machined and rebuilt, new clutch assembly, new brakes, "highway patrol" headers with dual exhaust, new headliner, door panels, kick pads, sun visors, rear panels, front rubber mat, rear carpet, newer Lester bias wide white walls, a Mike Hagen classic look radio (am-fm stereo), the seats interior fabric and vinyl were replaced by previous owners. Bumpers and grill parts all been re-chromed by previous owners. All original glass in the car except the rear window. Less than 2,000 miles since the engine rebuild. Original 6 volt positive ground system with a Pertronix ignition system. Paint is now 5 years old with just a few blemishes. A rust free car, body and frame.
If you are looking for a first class Shoebox, this is the real deal. More pictures upon request. Last photo taken from a classic car calendar which featured this car. To answer a question sent, we added the V8 emblem to the side of the front fenders, they were std on 1951+ models.
