This broadside was hand-signed by Earl Lloyd at the Naismith Basketball Hall Of Fame in Springfield Mass. and at the La Quinta Hotel in Earl's home town in Tennessee. (At the Hall Earl also signed 6 RARE basketballs, the only known to exist with the date of his first game, Oct. 31 1950). This art celebrates the men who entered the NBA in 1950 and the players and people who open the doors for hi and others, before and after. Witnesses to the signings, among others, were CT State Representative Tony Hwang, Peter Featherston and Hall Of Fame staff (see Earl pictured below with John Doleva, president, Naismith Hall Of Fame, on day of the 2nd signing) and Wade Payne, photographer. This broadside, 22" x 17" was created by Tamarack Press and Edward Finnegan of Brooklyn NY, the foremost Letterpress artist in America.

    Witnesses to the agreement and signing were Earl Lloyd, Charlita Lloyd (Earl's wife), Earl's attorney, photographer Wade Payne and artist Peter Featherston (the man currently in possession of the remainder the art).  Earl SIGNED a total of 495 numbered pieces at the La Quinta Hotel in Cookesville, Tennessee  in July, 2007 and The Naismith Basketball Hall Of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts in September, 2007.
    ARTIST:
    Peter Featherston, of Connecticut, is a basketball fan, x-rec-player and sports lover. He met Mr. Lloyd in 2006 and agreed to create this limited-edition with him. Sports clients include PGA legend Byron Nelson, among others.

    It is priceless to us. There were only 6 signed by Mr. Lloyd (see picture). But since we are required to put a dollar amount on it (just to give it away) it is ,000. Why? he signed them all to me, so I will consider it a gift to a friend. Only one of the remaining balls will be sold for this low amount. Of the six, two will always stay with the artist (he has two sons, and two have been sold to NBA bigwigs (can't tell you who, but ou know their names), and one is earmarked  for the Naismith Basktball Hall of Fame and hopefully you, will get the last one... at no entry fee...  Drawing 02/28/2021, we will notify and ship it out in March 2021.
